We have an exciting feature happening this weekend! More of that later, for now I have a fun shoot with the awesome trio to share!

Friends Erin , Cyd and I have become quite the trio of artistic expression. We all bring our ideas and talents to the table and always end up with great results!

Huge applause to Agnes Ocularis for capturing these amazing images and creating pieces of art out of them! Cyd made the necklaces, I made the hair pieces and Erin made the photos look and feel exactly what we were going for, vintage bride :)

Photoshoots galore

I have been keeping busy making items for photo shoots lately. It always builds your confidence in what you are doing when professional photographers want to shoot your items! One of my latest projects (yesterday) was for a fashion magazine! So a huge thank you to everyone who has wanted to collaborate and made the experiences so much fun!! Haiti Crisis

I hold a special place in my heart for Haiti. A few years back I was part of a team who went to Haiti and built earthquake safe houses, nursed the wounded and sick, played with the orphaned and learned more than I would in any other life experience. My heart is heavy right now for everyone who is being hit with this crisis. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families involved.

I am currently looking for a group to volunteer with. I want to head back to Haiti to help, this country helped me realize my life dream, the Haitians changed my life. I hope you are finding ways to volunteer time and resources to this event. The Haitians taught me to smile regardless of the situation. They were always happy; happy with what they had, even if it seemed like so little(to Americans).

I do not doubt the spirit of these people as they work through this crisis, even now in their sorrow they are praising for those who did live and who have made it through the collapsed buildings. Haitians are a strong culture on the inside, and although the government may be corrupt, the people are Strong and will pull together. I hope we in America can help.

I am currently donating all proceeds from purchases towards the Haiti crisis. I plan to give what I can to help those in Haiti right now, please join me in my efforts.

YAY! Welcome to my first blog! Don't you feel lucky?! (Well you should!!)

Jade Rose Designs is currently only online at JadeRoseDesigns.Etsy.Com and is in the process of being approved for Marthastewartweddings.com!!!


At this time they are not being sold in stores (but just wait!) Jade Rose has the pleasure of living inside a beautiful city of well know designers and artists, so what better place to sell than Portland, Oregon!



So what's new?!

-Photo shoot yesterday at Pirate Town in north Portland, Or with photographer Jourdan Moore of Jourdan Moore Photography, I cannot wait to see these photos! They were a blast to shoot and Jourdan was a great, comfortable photographer who I think really captured the look of Jade Rose Designs. Especially for you brides out there!


-Currently working on several custom orders, all for brides! This makes it difficult to post new and creative items online, but I will get there!

-New line of headbands and clips posting tonight. "Simplicity" is for the day to day woman who loves that extra spice in her step! These accessories are just right for the daily adventures life brings!

-Website in progress, just need to wait on a few things... like funds!


Other than that, I am excited to get to share my blog with you and hope you enjoy my pieces! Custom work ALWAYS wanted! It makes life that much better :)
