This week we get to officially announce that Jade Rose is now designing exclusively for Sarah Seven! Lots of pretty things will come out this next month or so but today I get to share a little sneak peak! In a couple days I'll be heading to New York with Sarah to share our latest pretty designs with the wedding world! Yay! Art Therapy in Ukraine

Happy Sunday to all of you!

I wanted to share some photos from the art therapy class I taught at an orphanage here in Kiev, Ukraine. I will be heading back to the States in December, until then I am volunteering at an orphanage teaching English, art therapy, and playing mom to rowdy boys :) The shop will open again soon!

For Art Therapy I made felt brooches with the kids complete with lots of glitter, the best therapy for tweens? GLITTER!!!

Thankful!

I just got to an orphanage outside of Kiev, Ukraine where I will be volunteering for the next week. I get to spend my Thanksgiving with orphaned and abandoned children.

On the agenda? Teaching English and using art as therapy, braiding hair and crafting (you KNOW I will be making hair pieces with the girls out of ribbon and glitter), and learning how to cook Ukrainian food as I prepare lunch everyday with the kitchen staff. I am SO Thankful for the abilities, time, and resources to serve Ukraine this past month. I am also thankful for all of YOU who have supported Jade Rose Designs these past couple of years, even when I went MIA trying to figure out our purpose. As I slowly begin to define Jade Rose Designs, you can expect more of these kinds of posts. Your purchases support the fight against injustices globally, thank you for partnering with me in these efforts!

Week 2 in Ukraine begins!

Week 2 of my volunteer work officially began yesterday. Today I will be interviewing a couple who are the directors of Teen Challenge Ukraine. So pruviet from ukraine!

What's new?

It has been over a year since Jade Rose Designs last put out a line of accessories, in this time there have been lots of changes in the life of the designer! With her current focus on her new volunteer position with the non profit Justice ACTs International, the focus of Jade Rose Designs as a company has shifted to second, third and sometimes last place.

My designs will now be created for the sole purpose of funding my volunteer work fighting human trafficking internationally. I have started an international blog that you can follow to stay updated on my work.
I have finally cleared off my crafting tables and I'm ready to get back to work. Thank you to my friends and family and my customers for your patience and encouragement. It's a new chapter in my life and I'm excited to share it with all of you, whether through crazy international adventures or through the creative process of an accessory.

With that said, you can plan to start seeing more of me on here. The photo below was for a roaring 20's concept shoot. Hair accessory: Jade Rose Designs.

Style Unveiled Feature

Jade Rose {Designs} featured on Style Unveiled! We had a great team, the theme was Rococo and garden inspired, but due to Oregon's typical weather patterns we were unable to shoot outside in the garden we had hoped for. Last minute, the shoot was moved inside, here are some photos from Erica Ann!
